In the first few months after you take your new Audi A5 home, it'll run like a dream. But to keep it that way, you'll need to show it some care.

You may know when the oil is due for a change, but what about tire upkeep? And how often should tires be rotated? To help our West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, and Boynton Beach drivers keep up with their Audi maintenance, our team at Audi West Palm Beach has put together this easy-to-follow schedule.

5,000 Miles

The easiest part of the Audi A5 maintenance schedule to remember is to get an oil change every 5,000 miles. Audi recommends that you rotate and balance your tires every time you get an oil change to reduce wear and tear on your tires.

10,000 Miles

At 10,000 miles (and bi-yearly from here on out), Audi recommends that you top off your AdBlue fluid, check your coolant levels, and inspect the brake system and engine compartment. You want to make sure in those areas that there are no signs of damage or leaks. This is a good time to also inspect your windshield wiper blades and windshield washer fluid level.

20,000 Miles

It's been about two years since you purchased your car. There are a lot of maintenance items to be taken care of, but this is easily done at the our service department. At 20,000 miles, you'll want a tire realignment. You'll also want to take care of the following:

  • Clean battery terminals.
  • Check transmission for leaks.
  • Add coolant as needed.
  • Lubricate door hinges, straps, and locks, as well as the hood safety catch.
  • Check driveshaft boots.
  • Replace dust and pollen filter.
  • Check exhaust system for damage.
  • Check and adjust all lighting.
  • Check axle ball joint dust seals and tie rod ends.
  • Inspect rollover protection function.
  • Clean snow screen for the air cleaner.

All these items need to be performed every two years.

40,000 Miles

At 40,000 miles, you'll want to examine the tire tread and replace any worn tires. (The penny test works great for this!) You also want to check your brake discs and spark plugs, and you might need to replace the air filter as well. Go ahead and replace your AdBlue fluid now instead of just topping it off.

60,000 Miles

At 60,000 miles, check your tire tread and spark plugs. Also, check the thickness on your brake pads to make sure they do not need to be replaced.

80,000 Miles

At 80,000 miles, it's time to check all of your belts for wear. Most likely, the ribbed V-belt is going to need to be replaced. At the same time you take care of that, you also want to check the tensioning system and dampening and idler pulleys.

100,000 Miles

Wow, you've made it to 100,000 and we hope that you are still enjoying your Audi A5 like the first day you bought the car. As a birthday present to your car, it's time to replace the timing belt.
