2018 Audi Q3 Driver Assistance Technology

Whether you're driving down a winding mountain path, or trying to find a parking spot in a crowded lot, an extra set of eyes never hurts. That's why Audi included an assortment of sensors and cameras in the 2018 Q3.

The standard parking system uses front and rear acoustic sensors to alert drivers when they're close to another object. Also available is a rear-view camera with guidelines that show your vehicle's current and intended directions.

Both features work together to help get drivers in and out of a tight spot with relative ease.

The available side assist takes safety tech a step further by adding in blind spot detection technology. This system uses radar behind the rear bumper to detect when a vehicle has entered the driver's blind spot. Upon detection, the system sends a visual alert via illuminated indicators on the side view mirrors.

Thrill-seekers who find themselves cruising down steep hills can take advantage of the standard hill descent assist feature. This system automatically moderates vehicle speed when operating on grades between approximately 10 and 50 degrees by applying brake pressure to all four wheels.

The Audi Q3 lets you take the party on the road with a standard 10-speaker, 180-watt sound system with subwoofer. Strategically placed speakers make you feel like you're in the front row of your favorite concert.

However, if the standard speaker puts drivers in the front row, the available 14-speaker, 465-watt Bose® surround sound system puts them directly on the stage.

This system includes noise compensation technology that adjusts the speaker volume to compensate for ambient sounds outside of the vehicle, so the show doesn't have to stop for heavy rain or noisy traffic. 

Both systems can stream music from your Bluetooth®-enabled device, a SiriusXM® Satellite Radio, or the Audi voice control entertainment system and CD player.
