We understand just how difficult it can be to figure out what each of those Audi Q5 dashboard warning lights and indicators mean. That's why we created this informative Audi Q5 dashboard light guide for our customers in West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Boynton Beach, and the surrounding Florida cities.Â
Don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions, or to schedule your Audi Q5 service appointment.
3 Classifications of Dashboard Symbols
In general, there are three different levels of Audi Q5 dashboard icons, which are in order of severity.
First, you've got green lights, which are really indicators as opposed to warnings - they let you know when something is working properly. Next, there are yellow lights, which let you know about a mild issue (i.e. you should schedule a service appointment as soon as possible). Finally, there are red lights, which mean that you should pull over right away and contact a professional before you start to drive.
Audi Q5 Dashboard Symbols
Electronic Stabilization Control. If this ESC OFF indicator lights up (it will be in all caps like that), please be aware that your stability will be restricted. Be careful driving on slippery, rocky, or dangerous terrain.
Air Suspension Malfunction. When your Q5's Air Suspension system isn't working, ground clearance is particularly low. The symbol looks like a diagram of a car with a two-directional arrow right through it.
Transmission Malfunction Alert. The Transmission Malfunction Alert looks like a circular gear around an exclamation point - it'll be completely red. When it comes on, stop driving immediately and contact us.
Passenger Safety Belt Indicator. There are seat belt laws in all fifty states. Don't dismiss this one, people.
Oil Level Warning. An Oil Level Warning icon looks like an oil can with a drop coming out of the spout, with the word MIN right next to it. You should keep adding a half-quart of oil at a time until it turns off.
Oil Pressure Warning. The Oil Pressure Warning icon looks almost exactly like the Oil Level Warning icon (but without the word MIN). This is something that is best resolved by a professional - contact us today!Â
Brake Malfunction Light. Your BRAKE light is simply the word brake in caps. You shouldn't be driving if your brakes aren't working correctly. Get in touch with the closest Audi service center in Florida now.
We'd like to emphasize that there are plenty of other dashboard lights that might show up on your Q5. Don't discount ones like the Power Steering Warning Light, the Parking Brake Warning Light, the ABS Warning Light, or the Lane Assist Warning Light. Get in touch with us today if you have any questions.
