Europeans have already had time to experience the Audi Q5 hybrid. Now, Braman Audi is brimming with excitement after catching official word that it's finally our turn. Come fall, the Q5 hybrid will make its grand American debut.

Entering in to the U.S. market as a 2013 model, the Audi Q5 hybrid contains all the eco-friendly features you'd expect with a great deal of performance that perhaps you wouldn't. Let's start with sprint time, shall we? Audi touts the Q5 hybrid as a speedy green machine with the ability to hit zero-to-62 miles per hour in an impressive 7 seconds.

Under the hood of this Audi model purrs a 2.0 TFSI Audi engine rated at 211 horsepower along with an electric motor good for 54 horsepower. What do you get when you combine the two? Let's just say a whole lot of satisfying hybrid performance.

Of course, the real perks to selecting the hybrid over a current, gas-only Audi Q5 would be the peace of mind and warm-and-fuzzy-feeling that come from driving an environmentally responsible auto. To that end, Audi has equipped the Q5 variant with a helpful regenerative braking system that recycles energy back to the battery. What's more, drivers can monitor their hybrid activity using an advanced set of special instruments located on the dash.

Rounding off a well-balance auto, engineers have also designed the Q5 hybrid with a healthy serving of technology features. A few of note include an Audi "connect system" that employs uncompromised 3G connectivity as well as an in-vehicle wireless hotspot capable of hosting eight fully-connected devices.
