There really is nothing like sweeping down a highway, taking the turns with absolute accuracy, and feeling the wind blow over you as you cut straight through it. Audi convertibles are all about giving you a smooth ride along with comfort, style, and precision.
Whether it's the Cabriolet, the Roadster, or the Spyder, there's bound to be something for everyone to enjoy. Each convertible has something a little different to offer, so when considering one, make your final choice wisely.
The Cabriolet has three incarnations so far: the A5, S5, and RS5. What are the differences? Internal delights, of course. Each convertible has a different engine design. So while the A5 has a 2.0L TFSI turbocharged I4 engine, if you were to choose the RS5 instead you would have the 4.2L DOHC FSI V8 engine. The power increases with each Cabriolet for faster speeds and the best in control.
When it comes to the Roadster, you can choose from two options. There is the TT Roadster and the TTS Roadster. Once again, the main differences are with the interior mechanics of the vehicle. The TTS Roadster features a 2.0 TFSI 16-valve injection system, while the TT Roadster has a 2.0 DOHC 16-valve direct-injection system.
Last, but certainly not least, is the R8 Spyder, a highly desirable Audi convertible that has been featured in a few motion pictures and TV series as well. And why not? With its Quattro all-wheel design, 6 speed manual transmission for full control, and top track speed of 168mph going from 0-60 in a mere 4.6 seconds, it's hard not to reach out and touch this Audi, much less halt that desire to drive it.
All of these convertibles have different options available as well, allowing you to customize your vehicle how you want, and you can expect the best in safety. After all, Audi is nothing if not an exercise in perfection.
