Audis were quite popular in the movie, "Taken." Not only does retired CIA agent Bryan search Paris in an Audi A3, but if you know where to look, you can also discover an Audi A8 and S8 getting in their background credits.
Not all Audis are on the side of good, but it's hard to argue when they
look so amazing. Or maybe it's just that even visitors from other planets know
good technology when they see it. Transformers 2 included the Audi A8 - or
rather, the Decepticon known as Sideways. Featured in the opening scene, it's a
fast chase through
In the Transporter movies, Frank Martin always needs a slick car to do his work. In Transporter 3, he gets his hands on a jet-black Audi A8 that features a W12 engine. It's hard to deny that watching the chase scenes during this movie doesn't make a person wish to do the same in their own A8.
Tony Stark is no stranger to high class cars, which is why you can see yet another A8 in the movie, "Iron Man." On the same level is James Bond, though, unfortunately, it is the mercenary and not Mr. Bond who is driving the Audi A5 V6 Quattro in the opening scene of "Skyfall." But as a testament to Audi engineering, in order to make the car look more unstable during the chase, the front axle actually had to be disconnected.
But we've also seen the Audi of the future in "I, Robot." Driven by Will Smith's character, Audi did a full customer job in order to create the Audi RSQ, complete with spherical wheels, low profile, and butterfly-action doors. Perhaps with the extra creativity that movies can provide, we'll see some even more amazing things come out of the Audi factory doors.
