It is no secret that Audi has big ambitions when it comes to becoming a more dominant force in the luxury segment and the auto industry overall. Now with the recently announced commitment to spend $17 billion between now and 2016, those lofty goals may become a reality.

This planned expansion includes a greater presence in North American Markets, so that other Audi models once only available in other countries, can be sold to customers in the U.S. This is all part of a goal to be selling more than 2 million vehicles a year by 2020.
