Imagine Audi cars racing around tracks, down the road at top speeds with flawless shifting and a grip on the road like nothing else. Audi Sport comes from that place on the racetrack directly to you, the driver. Innovation is the key to bringing these cars to life and transforming them from top racers to top cars for the almost-average driver - because in truth, the average person just isn't looking for this type of Audi.

One of the biggest models of note for Audi Sport is the R8. This supercar is about as close to a racecar as you're going to get. It's more than ready to roar down the road, having been brought forth from the track itself. Changed enough only to suit it for the street, this is the one car that will have everyone around you talking - and admiring.

There is also the S4 and the RS 5 Coupe, both of which were engineered using the racing designs as a base. Light frames, amazing power with TFSI engines or better, fast-shifting transmissions, and, of course, the classic Audi Quattro all-wheel drive for impeccable road gripping power.

All of this began in 1989 when Audi brought out their RS with a 5 cylinder engine and excellent design to absolutely blow away the competition at the IMSA/GTO circuit at Sears Point, California.  The lighter, more compact engine meant instant power the moment the pedal is touched. For those who heard that classic sound, it can still be heard today in the TT RS.

In 2001, Audi brought forth their new designs and took home the winnings from Le Mans. The technology was still new then, but today it is standard and brings all the power you could want right to your fingertips.

It's amazing the way that Audi has taken all of their racing ingenuity and integrated it into their vehicles for the fantastic rides available today.
