Family fun for everyone is available on December 31st at the Delray Beach New Year’s Celebration. The family-friendly event kicks off at 5:00 p.m. at Old School Square Park, and will end around 9:00 p.m. with an exhilarating fireworks show.
This event is an excellent way to get out into the Delray Beach community and celebrate the coming of 2017 with your friends and neighbors. Even better, the event is free! Still, you’ll have to bring $5.00 cash for parking at one of the local parking garages.
Delray Marketplace New Year’s Art & Craft Festival
The engaging yet lively Delray Marketplace will hold its New Year’s Art & Craft Festival this year on Friday, December 30th through the 31st. Taking place each day from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Delray Marketplace (14851 Lyons Road in Delray Beach), the event is sure to be a pleasant experience for everyone.
So, what can you expect at the festival? More than 100 fine artists and crafters will be at this year’s festival in an outdoor gallery. Pop, Rock & Doo Wopp Live!
If you’d like to spend your New Year’s Eve listening to legendary performers from the 1960s, then this is the event for you! The event will feature food, dancing, and performances by Dennis Tufano of Buckinghams and Shirley Alston Reeves of Shirelles. It’ll take place at The Delray Beach Marriott, the 4-Diamond resort at Atlantic Avenue and A1A.

- Dennis Tufano is the original lead singer of The Buckinghams, a 1967 Billboard chart topper. Their top songs include “Hey Baby! They’re Playing Our Song” and “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy.” Tufano was at last year’s show at FAU and is coming back this year by request!
- Shirley Alson Reeves is the original lead singer of The Shirelles, one of the the best groups from the 60s. The group was a favorite of John Lennon’s, and was a common favorite for covers by The Beatles. The group produces over a dozen singles in the Top 40 between 1960 and 1963!
