We at Audi West Palm Beach want to make sure drivers in the Boynton Beach, Delray Beach, and West Palm Beach areas get the most out of their Audi A6.

To help you ensure a long and healthy life for your vehicle, we've created this easy-to-read Audi A6 maintenance schedule, so you can stay informed of your car's maintenance requirements.

Every 7,500 Miles

The easiest way to keep your vehicle running smoothly is to stay up-to-date on regular oil changes. This should happen every 7,500 miles, according to the general recommendation for new cars.

However, you should still check your car's owner's manual or contact your local Audi technician for your model's specific needs.

You can also keep an eye on your dashboard for the "Oil Minimum" indicator light. This will appear as an image of a gas can with the word "MIN" beneath it. This indicates that your oil levels are low, which may also signify old and dirty oil.

10,000 Miles or 1 Year after Purchase

After your first 10,000 miles, or one year after purchase, you'll be due for some minor maintenance.

These services are:

  • Check the disc brake pads
  • Reset the service reminder indicator display
  • Rotate the tires

After this first service, minor maintenance should then be completed every 20,000 miles, or two years.

You should also request a multi-point inspection, which most Audi service centers offer as a complimentary service.

Every 20,000 Miles

Every 20,000 miles, or two years from purchase, it's time for your standard service. This checkup includes many very important checks and replacements, which include:

  • Check the safety belt function
  • Replace the dust and pollen filter
  • Check the condition of the brake hoses and presence of bleeder caps
  • Check the freeze protection and coolant level in the engine cooling system
  • Inspect the engine, transmission, and steering
  • Check the wiper blades
  • Check the front and rear axle/suspension components for excessive play
  • Check for dirt in the plenum chamber and water drain valves
  • Change the brake fluid to prevent corrosion and failure of internal brake system components

This is also a good time to check your wheel alignment, since wheels can become misaligned after two years of use. Also consider replacing your tires now if the tread is worn.

Don't forget to repeat this service every 20,000 miles. To make it easy, it will alternate annually with the minor service described in the above section.

Every 40,000 Miles

In addition to repeating your standard maintenance, it's important for Audi A6 drivers to change their spark plugs every 40,000 miles. Doing so will ensure efficiency and prevent engine misfiring or surging.

Make sure to change the S tronic® transmission fluid at this point, as well.

60,000 Miles

At the 60,000-mile mark, you should perform your standard service again. You'll also want to replace the air filter to prevent debris from getting into your engine.

And, don't forget to replace your ribbed v-belt to protect your alternator, water pump, and air conditioning compressor.

100,000 Miles

At this monumental milestone you'll want to, in addition to repeating the standard service, check your belt systems, and maybe even replace the timing belt. This will keep everything running smoothly for the next 100,000 miles.
